Strengthening Your Path to Industry‑Recognized Credentials

Global Training Center is committed to providing the most trusted, relevant, and career‑advancing education in the trade compliance profession. As part of that commitment, we are announcing an important update to our certification offerings.

Over the past year, GTC developed two internal certification tracks—Professional Import Certification (PIC) and Export Compliance Professional Certification (ECPC)—to support learners seeking structured development pathways. During this time, significant changes have taken place within the trade compliance community that directly benefit our learners.

First, Global Training Center partnered with NCBFAA to offer the Certified Customs Specialist Course (CCS).

Second, ICPA has acquired the International Trade Certification Authority (ITC), the long‑established organization responsible for administering industry‑recognized trade certifications. Following this acquisition, ICPA has officially named Global Training Center as the preferred education provider for these certifications.

These partnerships strengthen your training and help your professional development align with the most widely recognized industry credentials.

To align with industry standards and support unified credentialing, GTC is transitioning away from issuing its own certifications (PIC and ECPC).
This shift allows us to focus on delivering the highest‑quality training that prepares you for official, industry‑recognized certifications through ICPA/ITCA and other credentialing bodies.

If you previously enrolled in the PIC or ECPC pathways, rest assured:

You were not charged for certification enrollment

All courses you completed remain fully valid

Your learning aligns naturally with recognized certification requirements

Nothing you’ve done is lost—your progress continues to matter.
